Lime pointing
When re-pointing solid traditionally built walls, it’s imperative we use lime mortar. This is so the walls can keep on regulating the moisture levels.
Spring is a good time for re-pointing, as the cool temperatures allow the mortar to dry out nice and slow, avoiding cracking.
